[ You've all done pretty well this week thus far -- this time no one has even seemed to outwardly give the motive much of a blink or two. Given that this has been the case, it probably ran through everyone's minds that no one this week would bother to commit an additional murder based upon motive, especially since it had been already filled with the sea of three bodies added to the pile. Besides, who would kill for something like Power anyway? Psh.

... It wasn't like people had killed their own best friends for power or accidentally unleashed monstrous abominations in their quest for power, right?

Anyway.

As morning dawns once again and people get up...at around 5-6 am or so, for the early risers they may find something quickly, although whether that somethingis something pleasant is another thing entirely. ]

[So here is the buffet. This might have taken Aki more than one trip, or involved very liberal usage of a luggage cart, but hey, it's happened. Bottled drinks include:

Water!
Lemonade!
Sports drinks!
Cold green tea!

And food includes granola bars artfully arranged into patterns like rays-of-sunshine or rainbows. Then there are some plastic bags of big cinnamon buns or melon pan. And dried fruit.]

I thought something sunny and sweet would counteract the. Y'know. Everything.

[When Kevin comes back from "telling everyone" he sees the room bright with cheer. It really does a nice job of offsetting the foul mood that's going on right now.]

I think we need that. Good job, Aki. Glad you came in -- perhaps Aidios guided ya to me!

[And look! Someone has joined although she obviously doesn't look too thrilled as it took a while to convince herself to actually make an appearance outside her room. and judging by the sounds..She won't even ask.]

Huh...What's going on here? Almost like the restaurant but not.

[Yes, protect yourself, child! Don't go to the restaurant, don't pass go, don't collect $200. Just come to the makeshift sanctuary that Kevin has and enjoy the food that Aki brought.]

Yep, we're makin' a little restaurant here. If there's anything ya want, I can go get it from the store.

[Yes, Must avoid! We know how Cirno reacted to a body already. Better to stay away form everything.]

Oh...I can handle the stuff that's here. I guess all the bad stuff is in the other food place?

[She's too tired to say words she isn't familiar with right.]

Yeah, the bad stuff's happenin' there. But everyone else is takin' care of it, so let's stay here and out of their ways.

[He crouches down to her level and pats her head.]

Nothin' bad'll happen here. That's a promise I can make with Aidios, herself, as my witness.

Good morning, Cirno.

[She summons a smile for her best friend and then picks up one of the pan breads that she thinks Cirno would like.]

I hope you have an appetite today... for this buffet.

Morning Aki.

[She's still rubbing her eyes, still not a morning person. Probably for the best at this rate.]

A little bit. Is everyone else somewhere else?

[Because she's starting to catch on what Fridays will mean from now on at this point.]

They're... in the actual restaurant.

[She sounds pretty sad. Yep. That's how it is]

[ He's only been awake for a few hours, but this morning felt like an eternity of staring at a chopped-up green fuzzy man. Mikami's been doing well at pretending to be able to stomach it for a while but enough is enough and even he needs a break.

Nothing sounds less appealing than breakfast right now, yet he finds himself in the ballroom. And look, there's Aki. It's nice to not see her around a crime scene for once. ]

Good morning...

[ Guess who sounds exhausted and is just gonna flop on the nearest seating surface available. ]

Good morning, Mr. Mikami.

[She lets the formal words hang for a while. Aki has never seen him more exhausted! She would be happy to bring him any buffet item that he wants. He hasn't asked, though, and in general Mikami is direct. So she should fix this through other means. Over the course of a good few seconds, she forces her face into a smile.]

I bet you've been working really hard.

[ ... and that's a deep sigh. Yes, he's definitely more down than ever before. ]

It's a circus over there.

[ HE'S SEEN THE ANNOUNCEMENT NOW... Keenan is a suspect and so is Conchita and everyone is just buzzing around the body like no big deal, he wants to tear his hair out... a lot of his hard work today consisted of not doing this. ]

Did you organize this breakfast?

[Nod nod.]

Yeah, this was me, since I found out that Father Kevin was gathering people here. You're right that I just organized it though... this is all from the convenience store, obviously. [She's perked up a little completely by accident; talking about herself makes Aki feel proud and confident.]

I found out that the circus was in the restaurant, so nobody was serving breakfast the way they usually do. And I didn't want to just like eat breakfast alone.

[ Mikami is quickly figuring out that he has very little energy for lively conversation after this body discovery, so it takes him a second to answer to Aki's explanation. ]

It's good that you're not letting the "experiment" disrupt our daily life too much.

[ As Aki is definitely in no position to be investigating, this is probably the best she can do to contribute. ]

Could you give me one of those bottles of tea?

[ Standing up himself is too much effort. Effing hacked up bodies ruining his Friday. ]

Yes, of course, sir!

[She has a lot of feelings about their daily life - should she sound noble and determined or does a Pollyanna outlook come off morbid? Aki therefore jumps at the opportunity to take a predictable, winnable position of service, rather than have a stance on the issues.

She scampers back over to the table and picks out a bottle of tea. The bottlecap is large and thick. She raises the bottle and just in time realizes it'll look bad to put it in her mouth and use her teeth - so she plays this motion up as finding a better angle for twisting the cap. Of course, this isn't actually a better angle, so Aki has to try again, bracing herself on the table, which is a rather unsubtle whining affair.

Finally she gets it unscrewed and leaves the cap on loose as she runs the bottle back over to Mikami.]
