Friday

[ You've all done pretty well this week thus far -- this time no one has even seemed to outwardly give the motive much of a blink or two. Given that this has been the case, it probably ran through everyone's minds that no one this week would bother to commit an additional murder based upon motive, especially since it had been already filled with the sea of three bodies added to the pile. Besides, who would kill for something like Power anyway? Psh.

... It wasn't like people had killed their own best friends for power or accidentally unleashed monstrous abominations in their quest for power, right?

Anyway.

As morning dawns once again and people get up...at around 5-6 am or so, for the early risers they may find something quickly, although whether that somethingis something pleasant is another thing entirely. ]

STEAK AND ALIBI

Yesterday evening, I first ate dinner then swam in the pool for roughly a couple of hours. After that, I went to pray in the garden and did so for about an hour. I made many prayers, including for the souls of the recently dead. After that, I went to my room and slept.

Merciless.

On Thursday evening, I took a pocket knife from the convenience store, after Chavez-san's last announcement. I was scared, so I wanted something I could keep with me, in case I needed to defend myself. I spent most of the time taking pictures, otherwise.

At 7:00, I ran into Lowell-san in the ballroom. After that, I dropped my last camera off at the gift shop to get the photos developed. I made dinner, and set it out for anyone who wanted to take it, like normal. Then, I picked up my photos and retired to my room for the night. That was around 9:00. I sorted through my photos and relaxed a little before going to sleep at around 10:00.

I woke up at around 5:00 to get dressed and make breakfast, where I met up with Yurizono-san at the restaurant.

[He'll take that knife, carefully pulling out the blade and looking it over before sliding it closed. Into his pocket it goes.]

Sorry, but I'll be keeping this. If the independent investigation-whatevers find someone else is the culprit, you can get a new one.

[There's no malice in his voice. Actually, now that he's not examining the body anymore, he sounds pretty laid-back.]

You didn't go anywhere before you came here?

[ There is nothing aside from a few tissues in the trash--and nothing suspicious on them, either. If Nepeta has a keen sense of smell, there's just normal handsoap on them. ]

(They look well read. Some of them are fanservicey, but not actually X-rated.

He does at least seem to be reading them for the story: the fantasy and sci-fi ones like to go into great detail on the magi/tech assumptions, and are generally well written. Also, the sci-fi ones tend towards mecha. He has decent taste.)

SAKURA'S ROOM

I found this in Sakura's room. Looks like this is her object.

[A photo could have been enough, but of course Shelley went the extra mile and brought the bear trap. That's how she is]

Once I got dressed, I went straight to the restaurant.

Yeah, we've wasted enough time as it is. The sooner we can clear your name, the better.

[ While Yuri is presumably still rummaging about for that porn stash Crow apparently smuggled in, Rean will be gesturing over to the bathroom off to the side. After you, senpai!! What kind of terrible secrets are you concealing under those duds?! ]

[ On closer inspection, there's three--the pile of photos is laying on top of the third envelope. All of them are from the gift shop, of course.

The empty envelope's contents have been sorted into two piles--good, quality shots of the hotel with no obstructions, and blurry shots or ones with the other residents in them. Beside the photo piles is a notebook with a few half-written letters and notes, accompanied by a few chewed-on pencils. ]

Sakura's alibi:

Took a knife from the store after Chavez announced the motive. Pocket knife submitted for evidence; appears unused.

Took photos during the day and dropped off camera for development. Saw Yuri Lowell in the ballroom at 7PM.

Made dinner and left it out for anyone who wanted some. Picked up photos and went to bed around 9PM.

Saturday morning: woke up, got dressed, and went straight to the restaurant.

[Once he's done noting it down, he shows it to her.]

[Huh. Someone has been working hard! Good, good. Unlike the bear trap, Shelley doesn't intend to take the photos with her, but she does take a few notes about the photos, mostly to keep to herself.

The notes and letters are acknowledged. Shelely nods, turns around and...and goes back immediately to the notes. Information from any source is fair play in journalism and crime investigation. Besides, who knows? Maybe some of the notes could be of use to her too!]

Well. Thanks Yuri. You could've just left the bottle where it was but no, you gotta ruin his room's sweet feng shui by moving shit all over the place for some reason. Also maybe the soap is so small because he actually showers regularly and doesn't live the hobo lifestyle!!

I spent a bit of time in my room sorting my photos before I went to sleep, but yes. That was around 10:00.

[There is some blood dripped onto the floor. It's just kinda spattered. It was probably washed off of the body of a person standing in here.
