Friday

[ You've all done pretty well this week thus far -- this time no one has even seemed to outwardly give the motive much of a blink or two. Given that this has been the case, it probably ran through everyone's minds that no one this week would bother to commit an additional murder based upon motive, especially since it had been already filled with the sea of three bodies added to the pile. Besides, who would kill for something like Power anyway? Psh.

... It wasn't like people had killed their own best friends for power or accidentally unleashed monstrous abominations in their quest for power, right?

Anyway.

As morning dawns once again and people get up...at around 5-6 am or so, for the early risers they may find something quickly, although whether that somethingis something pleasant is another thing entirely. ]

[Woken up by a more responsible person than himself, Crow wanders out of his room and into the hallways. Aidios, why do murderdays have to be so early?? Well anyways, let's go check out the planetarium or something.]

[Nothing but stars and space here. This area is clear!]

[ You can bet after kicking Crow out of bed, Rean tagged along with him to do some investigating. There's a quick once over before he turns to Crow. ]

... Guess there's nothing here. I don't sense anything off, anyway.

[ A pondering gesture. ]

Should we check somewhere else?

[Such a responsible kouhai!! ...this is the worst]

Yeah, guess we should. [He's actually been paying attention though, so he has noticed people milling about the garden.]

Maybe somewhere downstairs? I can follow your lead.

Then let's head down to the pool. ... There's something I want to check anyway.

[ So let's do just that! Anything off on the way there? ]

[Nothing off in the halls or in the pool area!]

[ Hmm. How about the storage and laundry area? There's two people, so! ]

What'd you wanna check out? [This laundry area sure brings back memories of barf and priests though.]

[ Rean stops for a moment, frowning as he scans the area. Give him a minute. ]

... Just making sure all the supplies are still here. If we're going to check, now's a better time than none, right?

[ which is WHY they had to double back to his room real quick, because that's where he keeps his notes after all! ]

[It looks as though someone recently did some laundry! There's a bottle of detergent sitting on the washer!]

[Huh, well that's conspicious, but it's not like he visits the laundry room that often, so. Is it empty?]

Looks like someone had a mess to clean up. Do you know if this was here last night?

[parasomniacs]

[1/4th of the bottle has been used.]

... That's weird, yeah.

[ The last time he checked, it was only yesterday morning. Right around when Al was doing his laundry. ]

That wasn't there last time I was in here. ... Did someone use the machines last night?

[ Actually, let's prop open those bad boys just to be sure. Rean's going to check inside for traces of the machines being used. Any traces of water inside? How about smell? ... Fresh laundry which was Most Definitely Not Used For Murder? ]

[There's nothing inside-- if it was used, whatever was in there has been taken out.

...but if that thing had blood on it you might be able to test it with something to find out.]

Guess they wouldn't have left anything behind, but...

[ "But was it recently used?" is what we're asking mainly. ]

No luck? I'll check this thing out then.

[While Rean looks at the washing machines, Crow will open up some dryers and check for any traces of fabric. He'll also check the lint traps in case there's something in there too.]

[The lint trap does indeed show that indeed-- the washer was used recently.]

Yeah, someone was using this last night. I'd say early this morning even, but it's hard to say.

[ It's not like washing machines just became a thing in Erebonia or anything. He glances back to Crow. ]

Find anything?

[nevergraduating]

Maybe. Either someone used the dryer recently or people just haven't been removing out their lint. [He'll even pull the lint trap out to show!]

When's the last time you saw this clean?

[valimar]

Yesterday.

[ Rean pauses for a moment, thinking. Setting the washing machine as it was, he'll walk on over to have a look. ]

Alexia was doing her laundry. [ DRESSED UP AS ALISA, EVEN. THAT'S KIND OF HARD TO FORGET. ] I guess she's still not really used to the machines here, so I lent her a hand.

[ He glances back at the slightly empty detergent container. ]

I don't know if anyone else came in after that, but I think I'd know if that was the same bottle she used.

[Someone washing their clothes wasn't necessarily suspicious in and of itself, but... considering it was getting to the end of the week and what happened last week? It's something to keep in mind.]

Alright, maybe we should ask around a little if this is an issue. Anything else you wanna look at?

[Are there any other objects that look out of place in the laundry room?]

[Nothing else out of place here!]

Yeah, sounds like a plan.

[ Well, after one more quick once over Rean shakes his head. ]

I can't say I notice anything else off in here. [ a pause. ] Still, it's possible there's something in here we're overlooking. It might not be a bad idea to drop back here later for another look.

[ With someone else, maybe. Particularly if they have any tools that would detect anything Rean and Crow could have overlooked. ]

[A little luminol would go a long way in the washer.]

[ we're from the jrpg industrial revolution era as far as setting goes. we might have rapidly advancing and sometimes straight up anachronistic technology, but luminol does not exist yet as far as we know someone else please take this. ]
