[ You've all done pretty well this week thus far -- this time no one has even seemed to outwardly give the motive much of a blink or two. Given that this has been the case, it probably ran through everyone's minds that no one this week would bother to commit an additional murder based upon motive, especially since it had been already filled with the sea of three bodies added to the pile. Besides, who would kill for something like Power anyway? Psh.

... It wasn't like people had killed their own best friends for power or accidentally unleashed monstrous abominations in their quest for power, right?

Anyway.

As morning dawns once again and people get up...at around 5-6 am or so, for the early risers they may find something quickly, although whether that somethingis something pleasant is another thing entirely. ]

[ Yeah, guess who's not having a good week. First the viscount, then a straight up bloodbath, and now Crow was a suspect. You can bet Rean's already there with Crow, and he'll be CLOSE BY in case anyone feels like they want to question his bro. ]

[ He'll glance over to Yuri, who's apparently handling the room investigation. Then back at Crow himself, and then... he's making a pondering sort of look. ]

Well, uh. [ Beat. Awkward glance to the side. ] How... are we doing this?

[Crow will follow Rean's glance over to Yuri but. Um. He's... not... quite sure where you're going with this, bro?]

[But alright, he'll start by taking off his t-shirt, then. So. There's a reason why he avoids the public baths and this is why: there's a large, very noticeable scar right over his heart. It appears stitched up, and it's at least a couple weeks old, so it doesn't appear to be related to this case. In addition to that, there are a bunch of faint scars all over his chest and arms, probably of the type you'd get from training with a weapon.

[ Rean's heart might as well stopped the moment that scar was revealed, with all that comes out of him being a shaky exhale as he finds himself unable to concentrate on anything else. ... He still couldn't believe it, but at the same time he could. This was far from the strangest thing that's happened since they showed up here, after all.

But it still doesn't make it any easier seeing it for himself, and in person. It doesn't erase what he knows he saw that day. ]

[... This wasn't the time to be thinking about that. Right now, Crow was here. He wasn't going anywhere, not if he could help it. Rean knew he had to concentrate on clearing his best friend's name before anything else - if he didn't, then he'd lose Crow as well. Rean didn't want to think about that possibility for a moment. ]

[ Let's have a look at Crow's back. Just to be sure. ]

[In retrospect, he probably should've been more firm about having someone else do this. He knows how tough a week it's been for Rean and seeing this likely isn't helping. Still. After losing the viscount? Rean probably wouldn't accept anything less if he didn't do all he could to solve this case, even if it came down to this.]

[And he'll oblige. Again, there are traces of old and faded scars, but most prominently, there's one of the same size as the one on his front, right behind his heart. There doesn't appear to be any recent wounds, though.]

[ It's enough that Rean needs a minute before he can pull himself together. He firmly shakes his head, his speaking a little quieter and subdued than normal. ]

No, it's all right. [ His voice trails off, looking away. ] I'm sorry.

[ He knew very well he couldn't just say he was "fine" when that was pretty much a blatant lie. Still visibly grimacing, he'll look them over carefully before moving on, his attention turning to... well, the pants. ]
