[ Another week has come and gone-- albeit with a great deal of excitement. It wouldn't be strange if by the end of the week you had nearly forgotten the week's new motive altogether with everything that's been going on since the middle of the week. But even if you did, that didn't make it go away. It was still there. Waiting. For just one person to give it the proper consideration.

...had someone decided that one person's life was worth erasing to get rid of another?

It no longer seems so crazy, does it?

As another morning dawns, people will rise-- perhaps with every intention of going about their daily routines same as always. But somewhere, a surprise is waiting to be discovered. But what oh what will they find this time? Just maybe it won't be so bad. Or maybe it will. ]

Well, once you're done getting dressed, we can head back to your room for the search. What was your item, by the way?

[royalpretender]

A bottle of poison. I never opened it. It should still be in the wastebasket in the bathroom, if no one's picked it up already. I thought that a better place for it than letting it slip into less savory hands.

[ If Leo's ready to go back, then so is Al. Off to the races? ]

[lienhearts]

Probably a good idea. I'll put it in with the rest of the evidence if no one else has.

[And off they go! What kind of room was Al graced with?]

[ It's your typical love hotel room layout. No real changes have been made to the setup, knowing they'll be moving any day anyhow, and it's kept fairly neat and tidy, other than the bed still being unmade. Click item to investigate. ]

[Amazing. Well.

Leo is the thorough sort, so we'll start with the bed, taking off the covers and checking underneath it, the whole shebang. After that is checking the CD player and the nightstands.]

[ Nothing to be found atop the bed that's inconsistent with being anything but recently slept in. The CD player is mostly untouched, though a search for fingerprints here will reveal each button, starting from the left and ending with the pause button, to have been pressed exactly once. The CD itself seems to still be on pause, in fact, as if whoever did this didn't know it wasn't stopped.

Under the bed, an unnecessarily large stash of chips, jerky, and other assorted junk food from the convenience store can be found. ]

...Quite the stash.

[And now to go through the kitchen area, opening everything up of course. He even takes a peek inside the vase.]

...Shut up.

[ The microwave and coffee pot are untouched completely, and the mini-fridge is empty, save for a couple of canned drinks and a half-empty bottle of milk. Nothing in the vase but the flowers. ]

Why even bother hiding it? Don't want others to know how much you snack?

[Aaaaand sure let's look at the TV because we're Still Being Thorough Dammit. After that he'll start going through the closet, including checking to make sure nothing is hidden away in those clothes.]

[ The TV is just a TV. Al does not understand it, as he is from The Before Time, The Long, Long Ago, and so there is no sign it has ever been yoused.

The closet is very well-stocked, with an assortment of stylish casual dresses and accessories, all of them provided by the hotel. Nothing can be found on or in any of them, though it'll take some time to sort through them and figure that out if he insists on being thorough, but he may notice that none of the clothes he had while they roomed together are anywhere to be found. ]

[lienhearts]

[Well that's strange.]

You ditch your clothes from earlier?

[royalpretender]

Hm? Oh, that. Yeah, that was right around the first room switch, I think. I had some... trouble with the laundry machine. Namely, figuring out how it worked. It ended badly.

[ He scratches the back of his head, somewhat embarrassed. At least, he looks genuinely so. ]

[lienhearts]

[He scrutinizes that expression for a moment, searching out a lie.

Buuuut other than that he'll go ahead and start searching through the bathroom.]

[royalpretender]

[ The bathroom is exactly what you'd expect it to be, everything in its appropriate place. Soap in the soap dish. A damp towel resting on the sink. An unopened bottle of liquid cyanide in the garbage. The shower's been used recently, as well. It's still wet and everything. ]

[lienhearts]

[Yoinking that.]

Well, your room's passed the check. Anything else you want me to know? Alibis you wanna write up?

[royalpretender]

Nothing I can think of, but if anyone else has any other questions, let them know I'm here to be asked.

...There is something I need to write, though it's not for the investigation. Could you come back for it in a bit?

[lienhearts]

Yeah, sure.

[He's curious, but yeah, there's other things that need getting to right now. So, with that:]
