Week 5

Friday

[ One more week... gone. This the worst of the lot yet. The beginning of the week saw all but three introduced to a dangerous poison without any warning-- some worse than others. One even died in the poison's wake. The most cruel and heartless motive yet had been unleashed without mercy, even upon the staff. What did this mean for the end of the week, as the effects grew more and more potent?

...had someone decided that the good of the many outweighed one person's life and ended it?

...

This time there is no question.

When morning comes, the long days of suffering has ended at last for all those who had been poisoned throughout the week. It may take a bit before you hit your healthiest stride, but the ill-effects have gone leaving only one question-- who has died for your good health. ]

[There appear to be several items missing from the gift shop including a set of black shoes, pants and shirt-- all of them being fit as a generic one size fits all.]

[ Huh. This is curious, given the fact that by now clothes have been provided and most people no longer take anything from the gift shop.

He'll take a picture and then note down what he sees missing, because... keeping inventory, why not.

Onward to the restaurant. ]

[The restaurant itself appears undisturbed-- how 'bout taking a step into that kitchen though?]

[ Absolutely taking a step into that kitchen if he can, yes. He'll even check the freezer and pantry, if they are open, just to be thorough. ]

[He won't need to go that far to find something interesting.

Someone made a mess in here! There's flour all over the floor and implements left out on the counters. Whoever was in here was apparently in a rush.]

[ ... well, this is not a crime scene but it's... weird.

TIME TO SNAP PHOTOS.

Mikami will be taking a good look around, trying to not disturb the scene much. Any clues to what the person who was here was trying to make? Unrelated to that matter, any footprints in the flour? ]

[There is a mixing bowl filled with flour and bleach. Next to the bowl is a bottle of bleach with the cap off. There is also a knife rack with one knife missing that does not appear to be in the kitchen.

There are indeed visible footprints in the flour. There are also lysol wipes scattered on the floor nearby.]

[ Uhm yeah. Alright. This is bad. Actually, thinking this situation over, he walks back into the restaurant to take a breath of fresher air and then hold it as he enters the kitchen once more.

And then of the footprints.

How do those look by the way? ]

[Not much can be said of the footprints except that they look like they came from men's shoes of average size. However-- having investigated the convenience store he may recognize the tread as having belonged to the shoes of which there was a pair missing there.]

[ ..oh-huh. He doesn't recognize it immediately, but he has a suspicion and once he's evolved his pictures of the footprints later, he will check to make certain.

For now, he's going back outside for another breath of definitely not poisoned air. And then back in. Did he miss anything? ]

[Just an empty bag of flour in the trash from the preparation of that mixture. Other than that-- all clear.

Please move on to fresher pastures.]

[ Actually, one last thing. Are there any disposable gloves to be found in the trash bins either in the kitchen or restaurant? Because Mikami assumes there will be no finger prints here but confirmation would be nice. ]

[There are not!]

Alright he will keep this in mind and move on for now. Later returns for fingerprinting not excluded.

Also he's going to carefully take a page out of his notebook to write down the words Poison gas. Don't enter. and put that note by the kitchen door. He's nice like that.

Onward to the stairs and then the lobby. ]

[No poison gas here! In fact-- no sign of murder at all.]

[ Well then Mikami will one by one visit all other rooms on the ground floor minus the female only areas. Anything in any of those at all? ]

[Welcome to the laundry room! It looks like someone was in here recently. Investigate?]

[ Nothing he'd rather do! ~~Except be at home and killing people.~~

Is there any laundry left around? Any odd smells to smell? Other strange things? ]

[The smell is far more pleasant than your last adventure Mikami. Smells kinda like there was some washing done here. And in fact it looks like some detergent was used.

...but lo and behold there appears to be some items in the washer, along with a pair of familiar black shoes sitting on top of the washing machine.]

And then he'll get those items out of the washer. One-size-fits-all black clothes per chance? ]

[Ding ding ding, we have a winner! They are indeed the one-size-fits-all black clothes from the convenience store. The black shirt also seems to have been burned. Nearly half of the fabric is gone.]

[Let's just say Crow ran in here (with Rean) before he did the room searches!? Huzzah knowledge from the future.]

Yo. You find something?

[Crow will walk up to Mikami to look at the cloth more closely... are there any other smells coming off the burnt cloth? Like, say, of the substance that was used to burn it?]

Certainly.

[ Since the clothes are fully washed and thus useless for fingerprints in any case, Mikami will let Crow hold and examine them. He himself will cover his fingers with his sleeve to avoid fingerprints and lift those shoes to check the soles. Ah yes. ]

This seems to be what the culprit wore to make a mess in the kitchen. They were mixing chlorine gas.

Huh. They plannin' on poisoning someone? ...I didn't see her body, but that kinda thing should leave some signs, shouldn't it? [Not that he's really familiar with exposure to chlorine gas, but... Will they finally do it. Will they have a DIY autopsy?? But anyways, he'll take the clothes. Hell, maybe he'll even keep it on hand in case he comes across anything related?!]
