Week 6
Week 6

Monday - Thursday
[ There is a particularly somber atmosphere in the quiet hotel. The day before ended with a terrible miscalculation and an innocent life lost in the name of the “experiment”. Emotions certainly ran high and it would not be strange for those effects to linger into the dawn of the new week. Until now they had successfully determined and executed three other murderers. But the fourth got away. They may not want to face the future yet—but the experiment stops for nothing.
The opening of a new wing would probably be of little solace to them. But it's not long before they are granted a small distraction.
Early Monday morning -- before they’ve even had a chance to properly examine the new floor and it’s rooms -- a text announcement arrives, following a small jingle. The sound is new; different from the announcement tones used during the investigation last week. It’s just as loud and persistent, but there’s an annoying set of four repeated notes in a pattern that lazily imitates a song assigned to this notification.]
Hello participants.
I hope you are doing well this morning and are well rested for the day ahead. There will be a meeting held in the lobby fifteen minutes from now. You will all be required to attend. Any person who is absent will be appropriately hunted down and brought to the meeting place by whatever means necessary. An important change has been made to the experimental proceedings, of which you must all now be made well aware.
See you all in fifteen minutes.

[If you finally want to get a handle on just what the hell happened with Mitsuko or maybe you're just wondering the new floor, in the afternoon she can be found in the arcade. Almost lazily she's drifting around the arcade games. Some shooting games here, some crane games here.]
Tuesday
[She's in the manga cafe, reading quietly some (non explicit, thankfully) yuri manga in a corner with some of the ramune from her previous room. Mitsuko seems fairly involved with her reading but occasionally she looks up as if keeping an eye on anyone else in the area.]
Wednesday
[Now that the bar's open the lounge is fairly quiet so she spends some time in there working on her journal. Maybe 'working' isn't the best word as she's just doodling what looks like to fairly mundane objects. A tree, an acorn...a fish, some bees.]
All through the Week
[Mitsuko can be found (usually) around the pool, trying to keep herself busy by swimming. She might also just be in the convenience store collecting (even more??) food. Or, sometimes, just trying to quietly watch. However, one thing to note is that she doesn't seem upset at all over the events of the weekend, the new motive, Kevin's death or anything really.
If anything there's a certain lightness to her steps. If you don't want to confront her at the Monday prompt, you can either jump her at the restaurant or barge into her room.]
Wednesday
He remembers how much of a hassle he'd given her on Friday, which is enough to have him go up to where she is and pull up a chair so he can sit in it adjacent to her. You know, in the totally normal way where the back of the chair faces the table, one arm draped over the back of the chair casually as he exhales a small sigh. ]
Do you enjoy doing a lot of drawing, Mitsuko? I never quite pegged you as the artistic type.
[ This was better than just coming outright and saying 'hey i was kind of an ass to you the other day..' right? ]
no subject
I'm not. [In fact, most of her drawings are.. not good. More like what you'd find on scrawled napkins or in between the margins of notes. Bears aren't exactly adept.]
It keeps the boredom away.

[ He brings up his notebook and places it on the table near hers, opening it and smoothing fingers along the page neatly. On the paper is a rather impressive likeness of none other than Noé himself. ]
If I were a good teacher, i'd offer that in drawing in way of an apology for how I had treated you on Friday. I admit you didn't really deserve it.
no subject
I don't think I'm cut out for it, either way. I don't have the temperament for it.
[Looking down at her notebook she taps the table again.Though, even as she shakes her head there's something about the tenseness in her shoulders.]
Life is a series of moments. The past is gone already.
[Had it been a few weeks ago she might have let it go completely.]
no subject
Oh? Then do tell me... I am curious to what you do have the temperament for.
[ Unlike the tone he took with her during the interrogation, this one's a lot more calm and at ease. Genuinely curious to what her answer would be. ]
As long as you're sure. My conscience just wouldn't sit with me if i didn't at least offer an apology after what happened.
no subject
I'm quite good with people, considering I managed to become class reprasentive.
[It had almost been too easy... Another shrug.]
We had fought and that was reason enough to suspect me.

[ It's half just plain flattery and half-truth because what are people skills anyway? Vanitas is aware he sometimes comes off as obnoxious from time to time - not as much as he had been back home but still - around others but he figures he's been getting better for what it's worth. ]
Ah... yes. That was quite the valid reason and considering the timing did look bad but it's not as if you can be quite blamed for that, seeing as we've all lost our composure at one point or another here.
no subject
[Sadly, most of the people left are men. She's not going to sweet talk herself into any high places here.]
Tempers flare in a place like this.
[She still doesn't take back saying that Conchita would be bad eating, though.]
Monday
Um, I'm sorry. For most things we had talked during these weeks.
[You know, since Mitsuko is a bear and what not. Shelley has been feeling a bit guilty about that all, many things she had said weren't exactly bear-friendly, and suggesting Mitsuko to leave her home, all that. She even gets a bit more coarse than she usually is, although it's still pretty mild]
Guess I must have sounded like an huge bitch back then.
no subject
Compared to things I've heard my classmates say that was pretty mild.
[When almost every member of the school had been raised to hate bears just for existing, there's not a lot of sympathy for them. Not that Mitsuko took it at all personally. If you're in danger it's just natural to hate what was causing it.]
If that was enough to hurt my feelings I wouldn't have lasted a week among humans.
no subject
How did you even get a human disguise?
['Did you hollow out a real girl and are now wearing her skin?' is a tad too morbid to ask. Despite knowing Mitsuko isn't human, Shelley is very nonchalant about it all. So what if Mitsuko is a human-eating bear? It's not like it matters that much]
no subject
[She... really can't say much beyond that, sorry Shelley.]
no subject
I have so many questions but I don't know how much patience [or willingness] you'd have for telling a stranger about yourself. It's not everyday I meet a bear like you. [So to say]
no subject
I can't tell you more about why I look human right now but let's see what you want to know.
[AKA she won't risk her human disguise but she likes talking about herself.]
no subject
[...geez, maybe she shouldn't use words like 'food chain', but what's done is done. Shelley mostly wants to know how relieved she should be the bears she knows only know to be awful and maul stuff to death]
no subject
[Though, she puffs out her chest a little.]
Admittedly I was the one reaping in the most benefits.
no subject
Why are bears so interested in getting to school, anyway?
no subject
Why do bears go to the river when the salmon are running?
no subject
[Well that sure was an answer]
That's...descriptive enough. Wow. I'm so glad I don't live in your world.
no subject
[Well, the more you know.]
It's not like they're unprotected or anything. It would be boring.
no subject
Are bears only in the school or are they getting into other places too?
no subject
I really haven't looked for them elsewhere but probably.
no subject
[Sounds significant]
no subject
[Kind of a big deal, yes.]
