Week 6
Week 6

Monday - Thursday
[ There is a particularly somber atmosphere in the quiet hotel. The day before ended with a terrible miscalculation and an innocent life lost in the name of the “experiment”. Emotions certainly ran high and it would not be strange for those effects to linger into the dawn of the new week. Until now they had successfully determined and executed three other murderers. But the fourth got away. They may not want to face the future yet—but the experiment stops for nothing.
The opening of a new wing would probably be of little solace to them. But it's not long before they are granted a small distraction.
Early Monday morning -- before they’ve even had a chance to properly examine the new floor and it’s rooms -- a text announcement arrives, following a small jingle. The sound is new; different from the announcement tones used during the investigation last week. It’s just as loud and persistent, but there’s an annoying set of four repeated notes in a pattern that lazily imitates a song assigned to this notification.]
Hello participants.
I hope you are doing well this morning and are well rested for the day ahead. There will be a meeting held in the lobby fifteen minutes from now. You will all be required to attend. Any person who is absent will be appropriately hunted down and brought to the meeting place by whatever means necessary. An important change has been made to the experimental proceedings, of which you must all now be made well aware.
See you all in fifteen minutes.

[He notices that book (was that the one he was looking for from the first week? it seems like it) but of greater concern is actually the bloodied tissue. He'll quirk an eyebrow at that. Are Vanitas' hands and bandages exposed? Because Crow's definitely gonna want to check up on that afterwards.]
Honestly, I don't know. We just know that someone stole his permanent room key and his personal one, so we were hoping that we could find either of them, but my hopes weren't that high for it being that easy in the first place.
[If there's nothing underneath any beds or tables, he'll move to the kitchenette.]

[ Exhaling a soft sigh, he very nearly was tempted to go sit down but he was just a little unnerved by all of this so he'd stay where he was. Since he was in his room and not out where others could see him, he'd neglected to wear his gloves so the stark white of the bandages wrapped around his left hand are quite obvious at the moment. ]
It's never going to be that easy, Crow. There was a reason they took it and one that likely doesn't bode well for us at all if they aren't caught.
[ Under the tables and beds are clear, and all that's in the kitchenette is just a couple stray glasses that were recently used and sitting on the counter along with some various junk food being kept on the counter. Otherwise there's not much of note in here. ]

[Okay well... he'll keep note of that bandaged hand. He's not even sure if Vanitas would be willing to let him look at it, but well. He could offer.]
Yeah, well, that's why I'm doing this. Even if I piss off a lot of people in the meantime. [Not that he sounds particularly bothered about the fact that he's basically painting a target on his back... Well, better him than some other people here anyways.
If there's nothing in the kitchen appliances and the trash bins he'll probably be finished up pretty quick. If there's anything on or in the desk he'll check that stuff out too. But, well. Anything else of interest anywhere?]

[ That has something of a small smile out of him, giving a curt nod before carefully crossing his arms over his chest. Since it's Crow asking, he really won't have any problems showing him his injured hand; plus it's nothing that is entirely relevant to what's been going on. ]
Someone has to do it, so I have to commend you for doing at least this much.
[ For the moment it seems pretty clear! There's some recently discarded scraps of notebook paper in the trash bin along with some chocolate bar wrappers but seems to be it. On the desk is his room key and a couple of unfinished sketches and random notes along with one of the pocketknives he'd gotten his first week here. ]

Alright, I just need to pat you down real quick and then we're gonna be done here. I'll be checking out your shoes, too, so if you could take 'em off? [He'll try to be as minimally invasive as possible, although he will check the pockets and linings of anything Vanitas' is currently wearing. He'll also check inside whatever footwear there is to see if anything just shoved inside.]
