Fifth Investigation
Week 6
Friday
[ Another week, another death... with last week's mistake still fresh in their minds, how will they fare this time around? Will the weight of it crush them or will they find themselves refined into sharp, clear diamonds? An answer is nigh-- because once more an eerie silence fills the hotel. That feeling that something's just not right may be familiar to them by now. They may sense it...
...that someone had decided that there is an injustice in the world worth killing for.
Although it may take them some time to deduce this-- they will find that the source of the ground and first floor levels of the hotel. It is not immediately obvious but some may get the sense that they are being watched. No doubt Sheepy will be watching them during their investigation and making sure things go by the books. ]

There is a body leaning against the front of the stage. It's legs are crossed and there is blood on it's neck, chest, right glove, and clothes. A bloody sword is propped up against it's shoulder.
You might recognize it.
...Sting is dead. ]

Good morning, Yukino~! Mind some company?

She runs for the stage. ]
Master Sting!!
[ If there are any objects in her way, she'll likely bump into them, not making much effort to dodge. Her goal is just to get to the stage fast because maybe, maybemaybemaybe she can still save him. He's her guild leader. He's so strong - he wouldn't... he wouldn't just die like this. He'll hang in there. ]

...I'm sorry it had to be him, Yukino.
[ Vanitas knows how much the guy means to her, having seen them spending time around each other in the hotel. ]

[ She's still going to try, gently maneuvering him from his propped position so that he's on his back. She knows - she knows it won't work, but what if...? At this point she's desperate enough to take even the smallest of chances. Her attempts at CPR yield nothing, of course, but she tries again and again until someone stops her.
And then.
Then she cries. ]

It is a clean cut with a more jagged edge near the collarbone. The wound looks to be deeper beyond the collar bone. ]

Someone REALLY wanted to kill Sting, but it was almost messy with there being two slashes in the same spot. Like someone hadn't gotten the result they wanted and tried again in the same place. He does note the injury on the collarbone and leans in, raising a gloved hand to touch against the edge of the wound.
What kind of weapon had made this kind of injury? Was it made by the sword, or something else? He's also seeing if there's any notable bruising. ]

There is no bruising.]

She snuffles a little behind her hands, giving herself a moment more to cry, to be weak. But she's a member of Sabertooth and she has to be strong - and... Vanitas has lost someone recently, too. It's not fair of her to leave this all to him.
The tears don't stop, and every so often she'll rub them viciously away with her palm, but she's not sitting uselessly anymore. She gets up, slowly, and whispers a "Thank you," to Vanitas. It's past time to get serious, really.
First, she looks at the most obvious object beside the body: the sword. Does it look familiar? Whose sword is this? There's one thing she knows for sure at least. ]
This isn't... this isn't Master Stings'.

She looks around at the room then. There were no objects in her way when she was running up, but... aside from the blood that's on him, there isn't a bloody trail leading up to him, right? No pool of blood around his body? If that's the case, then a fight didn't happen here. There most certainly must have been a fight because, let's be real, this is her lovable idiot guild master. ]

If there's nothing else immediately noticeable around his body, she'll quickly check backstage. ]
