Friday

[ Another week, another death... with last week's mistake still fresh in their minds, how will they fare this time around? Will the weight of it crush them or will they find themselves refined into sharp, clear diamonds? An answer is nigh-- because once more an eerie silence fills the hotel. That feeling that something's just not right may be familiar to them by now. They may sense it...

...that someone had decided that there is an injustice in the world worth killing for.

Although it may take them some time to deduce this-- they will find that the source of the ground and first floor levels of the hotel. It is not immediately obvious but some may get the sense that they are being watched. No doubt Sheepy will be watching them during their investigation and making sure things go by the books. ]

[ Sakura's going to head to the ice rink this morning. Pls no frozen evidence...... ]

[ No frozen evidence! This floor is murder free. ]

[ ...whoops did not see the note about floors.

How about the gym, then? She'll give all of the equipment a cursory glance. ]

[parasomniacs]

[ Upon turning the corner, a few flecks of blood can be seen on the hallway floor.

There is blood on the floor of the gym as well, in a similar pattern to those in the hallway, extending for about three feet.

From the entrance of the women's locker room is a thin line of blood that resembles a drag mark. There are blood smears nearby that seem to lead to the racquetball court.

The blood trail mysteriously ends at the entrance to the racquetball court. ]

[ Good thing she keeps a camera on her 24/7 at this point. Sakura snaps pictures of the bloodstains from a few different angles.

Anything else out of place, here? Otherwise, she'll head to the women's locker room, since Crow has the men's covered. ]

[ The blood smears she passes could possibly fit a partial footprint from a foot of average size. No other useful details can be found.

But there is also a message.

The message is shakily written in blood. It reads, "Stay strong."

Now that she's made it to the women's locker room-- there is blood spattered all over the women's locker room. The blood spatter is all over the walls and floor, consistent with a large struggle. There is a large dent on the floor, surrounded by broken tiles, and with blood to match.

There is a dent in one of the lockers. And also... sounds like the water is running in one of the stalls. ]

WAIT NO I DIDN'T MISREAD oh my god, apologies

This isn't really where I want to hear something like that...!

Sakura takes her sweet time with the photos, here, because there is a sinking feeling in her gut about that stall. Eventually she'll check out the locker, and open it if she's able to.

And with resignation, after that she'll check the stall. ]

[There is this one locker that is dented. Eyeballing the height of the dent (from the center) it’s roughly 67 to 71” off the ground. The metal has been warped by the force, so it's a little difficult to open, but it is empty. There’s blood between the cracks and warped metal.

There is a red blanket covering the drain on the floor of that one stall, where the layer of water is not entirely unpink. There is no solid object under the blanket. The stall is free of bodies.]

[ oh thank fuck. She breathes an audible sigh of relief. Sakura snaps a few more pictures and goes to inspect the blanket. For one, is it actually red or...blood-soaked red...?]

[ It is in fact red naturally. However, up close there is a faint scent of blood. ]

[ Also good. Sakura will move to turn the shower off in case there's any evidence currently rinsing down the drain.

Do any of the other stalls look like they've been used recently? ]

[parasomniacs]

[No.

The shower turns off without anything strange happening.]

[ Anything else out of place, then, or is she done here? ]

[parasomniacs]

[It's pretty much only blood all over the place. Here are some descriptions of how those pictures will come out.

There is the drag mark by the door to the gym. There is a small pool of blood after that mark. There is lots of other blood more scattered, that dripped from a person who was moving while bleeding. There's the most blood like this by the dent in the floor. There are bloody prints on the floor that match exactly one pair of shoes. There is a handprint on an undented locker, which drags downward like the printer started falling after making contact with the locker.

There are about three short, perfect lines that progressively get more faded as they get further away from the bloody side of the locker room. They’re the exact same distance apart. They stop entirely before exiting the locker room but they’re clearly leading to the pool area.

So... head to the pool area? Or maybe somewhere else. Like the storage room by the gym.]

[ And here she thought she might be done with the blood. Oh well. Sakura will check out the storage room, in that case. ]

[ The door seems to be stuck somehow. It can only be opened part of the way. It's possible to get inside, it's just a bit of a tight squeeze to get there.

Once inside she will find that there is a luggage cart here with multiple bloodstains on it. ]

[ Good thing she's 5'1 and thin as a rail. Sakura tries her best to squeeze through the door.

FANTASTIC, MORE BLOOD. Is the luggage cart the thing that was blocking door? If not, can she see what is? ]

[ I'm glad you want to talk about blood because there's a good bit of it. At least the blood appears to be dry. There is a large stain on the side of the cart that seems to have come from blood being wiped away. The pattern seems to fit blood pooling from within the cart and overflowing.

Above the stain is a thick line. The line matches the length of Sting's arm from wrist to elbow.

There is also a clear handprint on the cart. ]

[ Really, killer?

About what size is the handprint? Small, medium, large? Sakura will take a photo of it next to her own hand for scale. ]

[ It's a medium sized handprint, not vastly different from Sakura's own. ]

[ Noted! Anything else to take a look at? ]

[Eh, let's just say Crow popped in here. Incidentally, is there anything in the racquetball court or what.]

[parasomniacs]

[ The racquetball court itself appears to have no clear clues. But the bloody writing near the door suggests it might have been visited briefly or passed through. ]

[And what about the storage room that connects to it? Clear or not?]
