Friday

[ Another week, another death... with last week's mistake still fresh in their minds, how will they fare this time around? Will the weight of it crush them or will they find themselves refined into sharp, clear diamonds? An answer is nigh-- because once more an eerie silence fills the hotel. That feeling that something's just not right may be familiar to them by now. They may sense it...

...that someone had decided that there is an injustice in the world worth killing for.

Although it may take them some time to deduce this-- they will find that the source of the ground and first floor levels of the hotel. It is not immediately obvious but some may get the sense that they are being watched. No doubt Sheepy will be watching them during their investigation and making sure things go by the books. ]

[ Mikami looks up at Crow a bit more slowly than he normally would and then nods silently. It only seems to occur to him that he should be saying something a moment later. ]

... wait a moment.

[ He's not... doing well, yeah. But he'll get up, go to the drawer that contains three cameras and take one out. It's a stun camera. ]

[...Wow what man needs three cameras you have a problem Mikami.

Oh wait, one of them is the item, right. Crow will take it and... tuck it into a pocket or something.]

Alright, I'll submit this thing later then. Time to get on with it, right?

[Okay, so. Closets and inside any pockets and shoes. What've we got here?]

[ Mikami nods to that.... and just sits back down on the couch to hunch over and only follow Crow with his eyes. He's apparently not even in the mood to shadow him around his room this time.


Inside the closet are formal clothes. A black coat, but otherwise dress pants, button up shirts, two suit jackets, some ties... It appears that Mikami has left all additional clothing he received that didn't match his style on other floors. The only thing different is a pair of pants and a T-shirt from the gift store. Crow might or might not have seen Mikami wear those around the gym.

The pockets of all clothes are as empty as all shoes are. The only thing sticking out about the clothes is how clean they are, probably. ]

[Crow doesn't actually go to the gym that often (although he's starting to think he should), so the casual clothes get a bit of an eyebrow raise. Well, whatever. But damn, so clean and fresh?? What scent of detergent does Mikami prefer, by the way?

Anyways, over to the desk and the other drawers. Any more corpse pics? Probably not, considering the last time he searched but you never know. Maybe Mikami took pictures while murdering Sting!!]

[ Standard detergent smell, so it smells veeeery faintly of lemon.

The amount of corpse pictures has remained at a constant 'ungodly many' since last room check. The drawers contain the aforementioned two giftshop cameras as well as one last share of fingerprint powder.

On the table there are three notebooks from the giftshop and an expensive looking pen. ]

[Mmm... sour. Just like Mikami's usual expression.

Wow, that's good to know that the corpse collection hasn't changed. Maybe he can make a museum of corpse pictures to match Rean's museum of grief!? Also he's just gonna... snatch that last bit of fingerprinting powder if Mikami doesn't stop him.

But okay, after that let's check out the notebooks? What's in all of them?]

[ Mikami opens his mouth and then.... closes it again and moves on, yeah you take that. Just take it right under his nose and use it more wisely than in the Leo trial.

The first notebook contains notes about the hotel. Information they gathered, notes about which inhabitants are dangerous or received which item, some more pictures of the hotel that were deemed helpful enough to not be hidden in the drawer.

The second notebook is the notebook of fingerprints containing the same set of prints as last trial. As Crow picks up that notebook, Mikami will comment. ]

You should submit that as well. I'll take it back from the mail room after.

[ And finally the last notebook is... handwritten law texts? Yes, really. Just page after page after page of law texts in Mikami's small tidy handwriting. ]

[Don't worry, he's here to make you proud Mikami!! Hopefully this will be the dawn of Team Less Fuckups...!

Hm, the hotel notes are interesting but they don't seem too relevant in this case. But out of curiosity, he'll flip over to see if there's an entry for Sting. And of course, he'll see if maybe there's anything written about himself as well.

And it's nice to see how cooperative Mikami is being!]

Huh. Alright, I will. I'll add in whoever's missing for this week too.

[And when he hits the law texts he'll just... stare. What the fuck is he reading?? And he'll just. Put that down. You have weird hobbies, Mikami...]

[ There is not a single thing written about Sting. About Crow there is a short note "helped cover up, question his alliances" and that's it. Nothing about the dick sticky notes, sorry.

Alright, where do you wanna search next? ]

[Haha. Well, that's exactly what he deserves, to be honest. He'll shut that notebook and put it back. Well, how about the bedroom? Same deal as last time, under the bed, in the pillowcases and under the sheets, etc. He'll check all of them, too.]

[ The bedroom is as always, totally tidy. Nothing is odd about it. What was neglected to mention last time because what is making one's mind up is that the blanket print provided by the hotel for Mikami features a green sentai fighter. If that matters at all. ]

He'll take a picture of that blanket. You know. For... evidential value. Yeah.

Alright! Onto the washroom and then the kitchen! Will it be as clean as last time?]

[ Creepily as clean as last time. Despite the fact that Mikami has obviously lived here in the past few days, pretty much everything is in the exact same location. Only the food in the fridge has changed a bit.

But really, there is nothing of note in either of these places. ]

[.................You know what. He'll. Take Mikami's shampoo bottle and move it like... 10 rege away from its original position. Yeah. And then he'll go back to searching.

Okay, last check... the sofa and underneath any tables, including the desk. If that's clear, then... it looks like Mikami's room is pretty clean! Of evidence, at least.]

[ Wow, how dare you??

Well, considering everything will feel misplaced to Mikami after Crow went through it, this only makes a minimal difference in the end. Mikami will be combing through his room rearranging everything as soon as he has recovered a bit.

Mikami's room is indeed clean of evidence, yes! ]
