Fifth Investigation
Week 6
Friday
[ Another week, another death... with last week's mistake still fresh in their minds, how will they fare this time around? Will the weight of it crush them or will they find themselves refined into sharp, clear diamonds? An answer is nigh-- because once more an eerie silence fills the hotel. That feeling that something's just not right may be familiar to them by now. They may sense it...
...that someone had decided that there is an injustice in the world worth killing for.
Although it may take them some time to deduce this-- they will find that the source of the ground and first floor levels of the hotel. It is not immediately obvious but some may get the sense that they are being watched. No doubt Sheepy will be watching them during their investigation and making sure things go by the books. ]

To be honest, I don't really know what I'm doing here, haha...

[ Though they didn't hang out that much, Rean knew offhand that Sting generally spent time with Yukino just from observing everyone in general. So, it wasn't all that hard to assume they were acquainted in some form. ]
Truth be told, I feel like I should be the one asking you that. [ There's a small pause as he looks away. ] ...I'm sorry, by the way.

No... I - [ Clenching her hands. ] I, um... It doesn't really feel real, you know? I don't think it's sunk in yet. If I entered his room right now, looking for him, I... still half-believe he would be there to smile at me.
[ She inhales, the sound trembling, and wipes her eyes. ]
I don't want to give up on him just yet, I guess...

He wastes no time approaching her and placing a gentle hand to her shoulder. ]
You're not giving up on him - I can tell you that right now. [ His tone is firm, but his gaze still sympathetic. ] I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through right now, but... you're trying to find out why this happened, aren't you? Anyone would want to find the truth... especially if it happened to someone they knew well, like a dear friend.
[ He'll keep his hand there for the moment, using his free hand to gesture to the exit. Though he's kind of wishing he had a handkerchief ready for this, or at least a tissue. ]
Here. How about we go for a walk? [ He was about to suggest it anyway, with the room searches getting a bit crowded. ] ...I know I could use one, for sure, if you're feeling up for it.

(It just hurts too much.)
And what right does she have? She's let Sabertooth down. She let Sting die. ]
Ah - yes... Yes, thank you. Let's. [ It takes her a moment to clear her head. This is important, too, after all. She hasn't gotten much of a chance to talk to him yet. She wants to. She has so little left. ] Thank you, Sir Rean... and I'm sorry, too.
