Monday - Thursday

[Despite earnest intentions to the contrary, last week had a business-as-usual murder trial. Well, you may not all act noble, but you'll be treated like royalty on this new floor. ...Except by Sheepy, who is still bugging you when you're awake. The strange distortions appear in the air before she shows up before everyone.]

He was a nice guy, that's for sure. Last week we skated around, just talking about ice...

He was loud and over-naive, but out the people here I would have trusted him the most. He shouldn't have been the victim of a random murder like this.

...I don't know if the fact he was killed while trying to help Merciless makes it worse or not.

[Well, "help", but yeah, what Shelley means is clear: Sting was a good man and he didn't deserve this]

It was a stupid murder.

That goes for most every murder committed here. We're surrounded by nothing but meaningless bloodshed.

Maybe going out righteously as he did is favorable to other kinds of murder.... but it's needless to differentiate between these acts.

[She wishes they could at least honor the dead a bit better]

Have you thought about what we'll do once this is over? What if...those who died here...were extremely important back at their homes, like they were going to save the world or invent the cure to hypermeasles or something big and wondrous?

[This hotel has been making her think about a lot of stuff]

[ Yeah, he's... certainly been thinking about similar things himself. ]

There is nothing we can do then, is there? Even if we traveled to their worlds, we would not have the specific qualifications to take over for them. And our own worlds would suffer for our own absences.

The best we could do is let people in their worlds know of their passing so they can potentially take the appropriate steps themselves.

...I'm not good with giving bad news...Leo asked me to help find his sister, and I think that's all the bad-news-giving I'll have the fortitude for.

[She's already expecting it to not to be a pretty talk, if she finds Leo's sister, that is]
