WEEK 7

Week 7

Monday - Thursday

[Despite earnest intentions to the contrary, last week had a business-as-usual murder trial. Well, you may not all act noble, but you'll be treated like royalty on this new floor. ...Except by Sheepy, who is still bugging you when you're awake. The strange distortions appear in the air before she shows up before everyone.]

Goooood morning! Sleep well? We unlocked the 8th floor, so make sure you move in and get cozy! The motive's on the way and it's one of my favorites! Have fun~

I don't think that would have worked, but I absolutely would have wanted to see someone try.

[THAT MIGHT HAVE ACTUALLY KILLED US, BUT IT WOULD'VE BEEN FUNNY]
tibkins: So what if I did the second? (There are things you can do...)

[personal profile] tibkins 2017-01-11 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
[Shelley smiles nostalgically, looking at the stars]

Foley and I had talked about engineering fungi to eat through the walls so we could all escape. She died before we could do anything.
scythegun: (DISTANT ⇝ that kind of messed me up)

[...]

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for what happened to all of them, really. This never should have happened.

[And even though he's pretty okay with most of the deaths here, he does mean that.]
tibkins: Want me to crank up the silliness? Do you? (I could be worse)

[personal profile] tibkins 2017-01-11 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Shelley closes her eyes]

Yeah, I'm sorry for what happened, too. But there's nothing to be done about it. People die. Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't...unless we do some sort of necromancy workshop there's nothing to be done.

Living on is the only option, right? It's useless to keep thinking for too long about what happened.

[She has been...thinking a lot these weeks]
scythegun: (CALM ⇝ i'm probably bleeding a lot)

[personal profile] scythegun 2017-01-11 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
[That gets him to laugh, though it's a short, humorless sound.]

The last thing you want to do is raise the dead.

[HE HAS IT ON GOOD AUTHORITY THAT IT SUCKS]

But you're right. We're still alive and it would be a shame if anything happened to any of us. We've made it this far, ja? Moving forward is the only thing we can do now.
tibkins: Stop ruining the walls, Lottie! (Tell me this is a dream)

[personal profile] tibkins 2017-01-11 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Shelley opens her eyes, grinning]

Yeah, I agree. Necromancy is something no one should do. I know that weeeeeeell enough, you know.

[Well, at least she's trying to be positive]

This experiment will be over soon! Once we reach the top of the hotel we'll go home...I think. I'm not 100% sure -- Sandra was the one to say it -- but I'd like to believe it'll be possible.
scythegun: (RELAXED ⇝ hahaha wow)

[personal profile] scythegun 2017-01-11 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeager's hand strays to his chest for a moment before he resettles easily enough.]

It's a nice thought, isn't it? I'd like the experiment to end soon. I have some very important things to return home to. I'd almost hate to imagine how things are going in my absence!
tibkins: Want me to crank up the silliness? Do you? (I could be worse)

[personal profile] tibkins 2017-01-11 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
It must be a major disaster right now but nothing you can't fix. The moment you return will be the moment things go back to normal, I'm sure of it.

[At least Yeager doesn't seem like the type to just let things be ruined because he was absent for a while]
scythegun: (GREETING ⇝ guten tag motherfuckers)

[personal profile] scythegun 2017-01-11 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
[...the moment he returns is the moment things start getting fucked up again in terca lumireis SORRY IN ADVANCE, GUYS]

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but really I believe my daughters will keep everything running smoothly while I'm away!
tibkins: Moths are butterflies in love with the moon (I will now spout poetry about moths)

[personal profile] tibkins 2017-01-11 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing like a father having faith on his daughters.

[That's like your one redeemable trait]

What are they like, by the way? I don't think you ever told me that.
scythegun: (SMILE ⇝ you beat the secret mission)

[personal profile] scythegun 2017-01-11 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
[It is!! It's such a great redeemable trait until you realize that he barely trusted them with any actual information w h o o p s]

They're wonderful, incredibly bright and very skilled fighters!

[He pulls a picture out of his pocket and hands it over for Shelley to look at.]

Gauche is the redhead. She's stoic and a bit stiff, but she's very dedicated and she works very hard. I know she's working her best right now to hold everything together while I'm away. Droite is her twin sister - she acts more like I do! She's very upbeat and cheerful at all times!

They're the best daughters anyone could ask for, but I suppose I am a bit biased!
tibkins: Let's go back to civilization (There's no TV in the wilderness)

[personal profile] tibkins 2017-01-11 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Shelley raises her eyebrows]

They're younger than I expected, but if you believe they'll have everything under control I'm not fit to argue that.

[She's a bit more concerned about how they seem to know how to use swords, but who knows, maybe that's normal in whatever weird world Yeager came from]

I'm sure they're well prepared for anything in the mercenary business.

It's not unheard of for guilds to accept children even younger than Gauche and Droite. They may look young, but they're certainly capable of handling things while I'm away!

[Never mind that he was actually planning on leaving them for much, much longer, um.]

They're clever girls and I'm sure they'll be just fine. But still, I'd like to return to them as soon as possible.
