Friday

Ten participants wake up in the participant staff rooms this morning. It's the first Friday in a while that there isn't a decrease in their numbers - though not without other costs: Two of the hostages have been lost. There's still that last motive hanging over their heads, an unconventional one. Can they handle the challenge?

[The doors slide open. There is a head propped up barely within the doors such that it rolls forward onto the threshold with the hollow eyes facing the ceiling. On closer examination it is obviously animatronic - a cool, professional woman. The wires are exposed - it was clearly not ripped off cleanly but cut.

Playing is tinny music distinct from the instrumental "Fly Me to the Moon" elevator music that has played until now.]

[ ....... time to take back everything he just decided about things being a normal level of weird.

Also time to step back in momentary shock and repulsion, pressing a hand over his mouth. It takes a second to register that the head is fake and boy is that a relief. ]

Why do they have--

[ ... and then it hits him what animatronics have been used for this far. Oh..

He'll... pick up that head as gross as doing it feels and check out if there is anything else left in the elevator - one foot stays outside the elevator as he does that, he is ready to step back any moment to avoid getting trapped.

[The head does not answer his question by speaking.

There are no more objects lying around in the elevator.

The elevator panel is just there. The buttons are not lit. It does not take Mikami anywhere else for the time being. Not while his foot is outside the elevator.]

[ He'll... take a long time to make sure there are no secret murder devices in this elevator. Like... a really long time. All with his leg stretched to outside like a safety anchor. He probably looks pretty dumb.

But alright. Eventually he'll enter the elevator for real and allow the doors to close, feeling that he will most certainly regret it one way or another. ]

The elevator goes down. To the first floor. Then to the ground floor.

Then.... lower???

It goes one floor below the ground floor. A basement???]

[ Wh--------- He's beginning to feel like he's just descending into hell with this dumb Takada head in his hand, but maybe that's fine??? ]
