LAST INVESTIGATION
Week 8

Friday
Ten participants wake up in the participant staff rooms this morning. It's the first Friday in a while that there isn't a decrease in their numbers - though not without other costs: Two of the hostages have been lost. There's still that last motive hanging over their heads, an unconventional one. Can they handle the challenge?
It's quiet... too quiet...
It's quiet... too quiet...

Earlier today we booted up the operating program successfully for the first time.
Baseline data regarding the speed, connectivity and responsiveness of the system were taken and recorded to later compare with data taken while the system was performing various other functions to better gauge its abilities. We want to avoid major malfunction at all cost.
We attempted to run various processes through the operating system to test its functionality.
The system had no trouble loading the DreamScape data provided. 250+ layouts were easily loaded into its database with no foreseeable issues.
Unfortunately, we are still unable to get it to work properly with all the components running simultaneously. The operating program code seems to be interfering with the code for the Sheep model. Further adjustments will need to be made in order for the program to run the Sheep model properly.
[Looks like there's more though, if he wants to keep scrolling.]

He'll scroll on and also look if he can print this. ]

Today we are testing the Sheep model. By modifying the code, we were able to run the model successfully inside the DreamScape.
Our goal is to create a series of commands that allow the model to react independently of the operating program while still relaying information to the system for it to record and analyze.
As it will ultimately be used to facilitate the experiment, a personality is being developed. The code has yet to be tested.
[And also-- there is indeed a place from which he can print the data when he's finished.]

At last we are finally reaching a point where we can soon begin proper experimentation. Aloysius can now run the updated Sheep model with less than a .01% margin of error.
Simulating a proper experiment, Aloysius is able to select a DreamScape based on the target’s data and produce motivational cues in order to create the ideal neurological responses.
Sandra Chavez has been chosen as the hostess for the next batch of experiments. She will provide support to the operating system-- to Aloysius to ensure the experiment proceeds accordingly.
[The logs end there.]

And also go digging through whatever other files are on this computer. What would he see? ]

But in the meantime, he can close the window with the logs and take a look at what's going on properly. There seems to be a lot of data collecting and monitoring on an application on the desktop. The title bar reads 'Aloysius'. There are a couple of different sections to the screen. The first appears to be a list of programs and functions running. 'Sheep' is among those sub programs, along with a lot of other things.]

Sheep program... Can he interact with it somehow? He knows turning it off would probably count as vandalism, but can he? ]

Trying to disable any of the programs, however, will only result in a small black pop-up window with bright red text that read ACCESS DENIED..]

Time to check out the other sections of Aolysius. Anything he could read out of those? ]

But there doesn't seem to be anything else that stands out.]

Well, time to go find out where that printed. ]
