[ Another week has come and gone-- albeit with a great deal of excitement. It wouldn't be strange if by the end of the week you had nearly forgotten the week's new motive altogether with everything that's been going on since the middle of the week. But even if you did, that didn't make it go away. It was still there. Waiting. For just one person to give it the proper consideration.

...had someone decided that one person's life was worth erasing to get rid of another?

It no longer seems so crazy, does it?

As another morning dawns, people will rise-- perhaps with every intention of going about their daily routines same as always. But somewhere, a surprise is waiting to be discovered. But what oh what will they find this time? Just maybe it won't be so bad. Or maybe it will. ]

[It was already past the time to get woken up by the Rean Alarm Clock this morning, so Crow peeks out of his room for a bit before he hears that yell and--

Shit. He'll be making a dash for the western stairwell. Anything weird on the way?]

[ Maybe if you WAITED a few minutes, senpai, because Rean was already up at at 'em and on his way to pick up Crow when he hears the scream from downstairs. His heart practically sinks and his first instinct is to immediately dash to get Crow. He had to find him. He had to find him now.

Only to find there's no answer when he knocks and that sinking feeling turns into one of straight up panic. He's immediately rushing for the stairwell, not even caring to look out for who he might bump into on the way.

Literally. Hi, Senpai. How you doin'!]

[Holy craaaaaaaap]

Shit, think you could watch your step a little--!? [Good thing he was loosely gripping onto the railing because he doesn't want to be Komaeda 2.0 at this point. But he's actually going to look behind him kinda irritated-like because?? What the hell??

...Oh.]

Wait, Rean?

[ Whoa, it's a good thing Crow was there to stop him from becoming the second coming of Komaeda as well, because he absolutely would have barrelled down the stairs. With the railing next to them, he'll use it to regain his balance as he stops to catch his breath. ]

There you are. I heard that scream, then you didn't answer when I knocked on your door, so I thought... [ He shakes his head. Crow was fine, which means Rean can breathe a sigh of releif. ] Thank Aidios you're all right.

[Well thank Aidios both of them had a pretty good sense of balance because it sure would've been anticlimactic for them to have fallen down the stairs and died during the investigation due to their own stupidity.]

Man, look who's talking! You're usually on the dot with your rounds of yours. What the hell happened this morning?

[ no senpai it wasn't because he was taking another hour long shower like a weenie HE HAD THINGS TO DO. Though he is keeping his gaze on Crow, before pointedly breaking it to pat the area of his arm where the gash is located. ]

Sorry, I got held up. Had to make sure this stayed clean, you know?

[ he'd be happy to keep this conversation going except... ]

[Nothing on the way.]

[Well okay, let's just say after sorting out that fiasco with Rean that they make their merry way down the stairs. There's that scene in the garden, of course, but it looks like several people already have the area covered... Still, might be good to check the body anyways, even just to get an idea of what they should be looking for. So off to the garden he goes!]

[Inside the stairwell, one of them might notice movement from down below. That is, if they didn't spend a bunch of time talking before going in.]

[As in, movement in the stairwell of the ground floor? Or the first floor? Does it look like it's a person or what?]

[parasomniacs]

[It's a blur that might be a person. As they are coming down from the third floor, it would be below them, exiting into the first floor.]

[Right then. Time to pursue. They'll be trying to keep things a little stealthy at least, although hopefully some asshole hasn't left them some traps in the stairwell or anything!! Assuming nothing bad happens on the way, what do they see when they exit where the blur did?]

[ Rean's sticking right by Crow with his tachi out if it turns out things might get hairy. There's a look to the exit and back to Crow, frowning. ]

Joins up with you guys

[ Conchita is going to actually meet up with them at the stairwell following a trail. Congrats! Your party has gained +1 cannibal! ]

[parasomniacs]

[The trail of petals leads across the floor to the other stairwell.]

[Oh hey Conchita. He would chat more, but--]

That wasn't you just now, was it?

[And uh... that sure is a conspicious trail. Guess they'll follow while they talk?]

[ it's the resident cannibal nobility?!

Well, okay. Rean nods at Conchita's presence, then his attention turns back to the trail. He's keeping his voice low. ]

Let's keep moving, and carefully. We don't know what else is up ahead.

[voracitas]

No. I came from the garden, following this same trail. I'm guessing you didn't notice it because you weren't looking for it.

[ She's going to be moving with purpose, at least. Someone defiled her garden. They will pay. ]

[parasomniacs]

[The petals are fewer now, but if they keep looking they'll still see a few. It seems that they lead to the ground floor.]

[nevergraduating]

[Alright, down to the ground floor we go! ...Or wait, how about...]

Rean, mind checking out the residential hallways while you're at it? We can meet up back at the end of the trail on the ground floor.

[Rean's armed, and Crow's armed to an extent, so hopefully...]

Yeah, I'm on it.

[ If that's the plan, he'll be heading back up to the first floor. But not before looking back at Crow and Conchita. ]

You two be careful. I'll meet up with you in a bit.

[That said, the trail on the ground floor isn't much of a trail at all. Whoever they're chasing, they're running out of petals to lose, so they're a lot fewer and far between. However, it should lead them straight past the ballrooms, and into the lobby. There are petals in front of the elevators and gym.]

...We should split up. If there's a chance that we can catch whoever did this by doing so, it's wise.

[ So where do you want to take, Crow? The gym or the elevator? ]

Maybe, but unless you're packing some serious martial arts skills underneath that dress it might be good to stay as a group for now. [They didn't need to get ambushed, after all.]

We could try calling for the elevator real quick and then dashing over to the gym?

[voracitas]

...That might be wise.

[ Why did she leave her tools behind? The gardening knife could have been helpful. She's going to press the button to try and see if there's anything in any of the elevators. ]
