Friday

[ Another week, another death... with last week's mistake still fresh in their minds, how will they fare this time around? Will the weight of it crush them or will they find themselves refined into sharp, clear diamonds? An answer is nigh-- because once more an eerie silence fills the hotel. That feeling that something's just not right may be familiar to them by now. They may sense it...

...that someone had decided that there is an injustice in the world worth killing for.

Although it may take them some time to deduce this-- they will find that the source of the ground and first floor levels of the hotel. It is not immediately obvious but some may get the sense that they are being watched. No doubt Sheepy will be watching them during their investigation and making sure things go by the books. ]

[Other than the food still in several boxes around the kitchenette area there doesn't seem to be anything out of place this time. No awful smell or anything.]

[Okay, Ms. Yuribear, let's see what you got here. Shelley has a clear objective first: find the item given by the hotel staff, while also trying not to invade Mitsuko's privacy too much. Did you get a bear trap or something, Mitsuko?]

[Huh. This would be one of those stun cameras...Shelley takes it and tries to find out if it has been used. Is that even possible to notice if it was used anytime? She's taking it with her, either way.

[ You'll have to be there very quickly after the body announcement to make it to Mikami's room before Mikami himself will be in it.

If you make it before him, you'll find a room that is so tidy that on the first glance it might actually be hard to tell someone is living there at all. The sitting room seems completely untouched. Nothing about it has been personalized.

If you only make it to Mikami's room after him, he'll be the only personalized thing on the couch, sitting there with an unreadable expression on his face - though if you look closer... he looks tense? Upset? ]

[Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately for Mikami?), Crow can't get there quick enough to reach the room before the other man does. On the plus side, Crow has actually searched his room before so he's familiar with the layout, but... well. It'd be best to treat this like an entirely new room to begin with. Who knows what could've changed, after all? But first--]

[ Mikami looks up at Crow a bit more slowly than he normally would and then nods silently. It only seems to occur to him that he should be saying something a moment later. ]

... wait a moment.

[ He's not... doing well, yeah. But he'll get up, go to the drawer that contains three cameras and take one out. It's a stun camera. ]

[...Wow what man needs three cameras you have a problem Mikami.

Oh wait, one of them is the item, right. Crow will take it and... tuck it into a pocket or something.]

Alright, I'll submit this thing later then. Time to get on with it, right?

[Okay, so. Closets and inside any pockets and shoes. What've we got here?]

MERCILESS'S ROOM

[Immediately obvious is the blood glyphs once again. They rather spoil the family suite aesthetic.

There're also neatly spread out on the coffee table the same rope from last week, as well as handcuffs, the leatherbound book, and the severed head (how hasn't it started rotting already?).]

[He was just here a couple of days ago, wasn't he... welp, time to go through her stuff again! Well, he'll take note of all the items... and he'll check out that book to see if anything changed while trying not to pay attention to the head. Again.]

[That book is about the same. It has the title "Book of Blood and Flesh" upon its cover.

There's nothing else of note except for the wet shower in the bathroom and the porn stash under her bed that she didn't want him to see.]

[Oh right, yeah, that. Um. Going to put that back now. (Yikes!) But now that he has time to root through her porn stash he might just... take a couple volumes for reference's sake. Yup.

But okay, he'll check out the bathroom but if there's nothing else off about it aside from being damp (how damp, are there puddles and such still?), he'll go through the closet and any pockets or linings again. And inside any shoes. That too.]

because you have about ten minutes before rean's back. though he'll be cooperative enough either way - just don't mess with his shampoo bottle like a certain senpai! ]

[ After helping with investigating the wounds on Sting's body, he decides on a room that he thinks would be best to start with and finds out it's Rean's. More like he opened the door and blinked a couple times when he discovered that Rean had actually made it back here first and he took no time in waving at him rather cheerfully. ]

Well. Hello there, Rean~! Mind if I take a quick look around your room here?

[ He'll honestly do his best, remembering how thorough Crow had been in searching his room not that long ago. ]

Oh, hey, Vanitas.

[ Vanitas seems awfully cheerful today...! Rean's a little surprised, but it won't stop him from waving back. ]

Yeah, go right ahead. Let me know if you need anything, okay?

[ Where do you want to start first? Rean's room seemingly hasn't changed all that much since the last time it was searched - he keeps it as tidy as always, unlike certain other people he hangs out with. Right off the bat Vanitas will be able to notice Estelle's staff as well as Conchita's gardening tools laying nearby in the closet (which has been left open). There's a box sitting inside, but that's not all: there's a bear trap in there too! Looks like he hasn't bothered to put it back up on the shelf after Crow discovered it. ]

[ He'd rather be cheerful than upset or overly serious - like Mikami - but he does tone it down just a touch. ]

Certainly. I'm glad you're being so co-operative! I didn't think i'd have a problem, but, you know.

[ Firstly he checks out the little area where all those items are in the closet, inspecting each one to see if there's been any use to them. Wanting to be as thorough as possible and eliminating any use, he'll first look at Estelle's staff and if anything is off about it. ]

[ The hall is completely and utterly unassuming when the searchers step into Sting's room. The living room has a few pieces of decor pilfered from around the hotel. Things like white vases, fresh flower stems, and several statues taken from the gift shop. They're placed on the coffee table in a line and their purpose, while a mystery, isn't something anyone needs to worry about.

His fridge is barren of any substantial food. There are cookies and other treats from Yukino. At most, they're a week old.

His wardrobe is hideous and his bed is sloppily made. There's nothing else of note and nothing relevant to the case. ]

[ yuri's room doesn't seem to have much in it. there's some things around the desk once it's entered. there's a few clothes laying around but otherwise it's pretty clean.

though it doesn't mean he doesn't have anything to hide. have fun!! yuri will be on the sofa watching if there's anything you want to ask him about. ]
